Hawzah News Agency- The event was organized by the Fatima Zahra (PBUH) Women’s Association, affiliated with the Council of Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) Scholars of Senegal, and brought together a group of women active in cultural, educational, media, and social fields.
The conference took place at the headquarters of the Council of Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) Scholars of Senegal and aimed to examine the enduring spiritual, ethical, and social dimensions of Hazrat Fatima Zahra’s (PBUH) personality and her relevance to contemporary society. The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Zainab Jigin.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Maimone Fai, Director of the Fatima Zahra (PBUH) Women’s Association and a graduate of Al-Mustafa International University in Mashhad, welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives of the gathering. She said the conference sought to encourage intellectual exchange among women and to explore practical ways of drawing inspiration from Fatimid teachings in modern social and cultural life.
The main segment of the conference featured a series of scholarly presentations. Ms. Fatima Dimba Bah, a media activist and presenter at Kayar Radio, delivered the first lecture, focusing on “The Birth and Upbringing of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH),” highlighting the formative environment that shaped her spiritual and moral character.
She was followed by Ms. Fatima Ghi, a high school teacher, who addressed the topic “Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) as a Role Model for Muslim Women.” She emphasized the relevance of Hazrat Zahra’s personal conduct, devotion, and social responsibility in guiding women’s roles in family and society.
Another speaker, Ms. Fatima Waran Bah, also a high school teacher, examined the social and humanitarian dimensions of Hazrat Fatima Zahra’s (PBUH) life. She underscored key values such as justice-seeking, defense of the oppressed, moral courage, and service to the broader human community, describing these principles as essential foundations for social engagement in all eras.
The final part of the program was devoted to open discussion, during which participants exchanged views and engaged in a question-and-answer session with the speakers, reflecting strong interest in the practical application of Fatimid teachings in contemporary contexts.
At the conclusion of the conference, gifts were presented to selected participants in recognition of their contributions. The event also witnessed the inauguration of the “Fatima Zahra (PBUH) Perfume” shop, an initiative operated by the Women’s Association aimed at supporting its cultural and social activities.
According to the organizers, the scientific meeting received coverage from several Senegalese television channels as well as online media outlets, highlighting growing public interest in religious and cultural programs centered on the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (PBUT).
